Ayaz Sadiq Urges Stronger Parliamentary Ties With China

BEIJING: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stressed the need to strengthen parliamentary engagement between Pakistan and China.

During his meeting with Chairman of China’s National People’s Congress (NPC) Zhao Leji in Beijing, the speaker said closer cooperation would reinforce bilateral relations and support regional stability.

He stressed enhancing parliamentary exchanges and activating Friendship Groups, noting that the Pakistan–China strategic partnership is crucial for sustainable peace, development, and prosperity. He also formally invited Chairman Zhao Leji to visit Pakistan.

Chairman Zhao Leji welcomed the remarks, reaffirmed China’s commitment to its longstanding friendship with Pakistan, and praised Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace.

He supported enhanced inter-parliamentary cooperation and reiterated China’s resolve to deepen the strategic partnership.

The Pakistani delegation included Romina Khurshid Alam, Muhammad Nauman,  Zeeshan Jaffer and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri.
