LAHORE: Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam has set another milestone in international cricket, surpassing Indian great Virat Kohli’s record for the most scores of 50 or more in T20 Internationals.
Babar achieved the feat during the third and final T20I against South Africa in Lahore. The Pakistani skipper scored 51 runs off 36 balls, marking his 40th T20I half-century.
Previously, Babar had equaled Kohli’s record of 39 fifties, and with this latest innings, he now stands alone at the top of the list.
