LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board has announced its decision to make Babar Azam as the captain of the national cricket team.
The PCB selection committee held a meeting yesterday and announced the decision to bring back Babar Azam to lead the white ball team once again.
Babar Azam had announced to relinquish captaincy of all the three formats in November last year.
According to reports, the PCB removed all reservations of Shaheen Afridi about Babar Azam after which decided to appoint the former skipper as the captain of the national team again.
Reports also said that Babar Azam had expressed the desire to become captain of all the three formats but the PCB said it had not received any such request from him.
It may be noted that the national team has failed to win any major match for many years besides facing drubbing in Test matches during visits to different countries as well as at home.
