KARACHI: Pakistan’s stock market opened the week on a negative note, with the KSE-100 index losing over 1,000 points during early trading.
The index fell from 184,000 to 183,485 points, reflecting a bearish trend in the market.
However, the rupee strengthened slightly against the U.S. dollar in the interbank market. The dollar dropped by 2 paisas, moving from 280.02 Rs. to 280 Rd. At the end of last week, the open market had already seen the dollar fall by 5 paisas.
Investors are watching market movements closely as economic and currency fluctuations continue to affect trading sentiment.
