KARACHI: The Collectorate of Customs Airports Karachi foiled two attempts to smuggle charas worth over Rs. 55 million.
According to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), during routine inspection of suspicious parcels arriving from the United States, one parcel contained 370 grams of charas, while another parcel was found to have 1.5 kilograms of charas hidden inside.
The inspections were carried out under the supervision of the Assistant Collector of the Air Cargo Control Unit. The FBR stated that the seized narcotics have been confiscated under the relevant laws, and further legal proceedings are ongoing.
The FBR reaffirmed its commitment to take effective action against charas smuggling and illegal trade at all levels.
