Book Launch of Two Pakistani Women Authors Held
ABU DHABI: A vibrant book launch event was recently held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi to celebrate the literary contributions of two exceptionally talented young Pakistani writers, Amna Manzoor Khan and Dua Farhan.
The event was hosted by the Pakistani Ambassador, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, who lauded the literary efforts of both authors, emphasizing that young overseas Pakistanis are a true source of national pride and a reflection of the country’s identity.
Amna Manzoor Khan’s book, “Girlhood Diaries”, offers a sensitive and insightful narrative exploring girls’ emotional and social experiences, their aspirations, and everyday challenges.
The book serves as a mirror for modern girls navigating their identity in today’s fast-paced and evolving world, providing a voice to their hopes, dreams, and struggles.
In contrast, Dua Farhan’s work, “The Truth Behind the Evil”, delves into the timeless conflict between good and evil, presenting it through a philosophical lens. The narrative centers on the human soul’s inner struggle between light and darkness, capturing the eternal tension that shapes human morality and experience.
The book launch event included engaging discussions on the themes of the books, evolving trends in literature, and the diminishing engagement with reading in contemporary society.
Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi remarked, “These young writers are not only fresh and inspiring voices in our literature but also represent Pakistan’s invaluable intellectual and cultural strength on the global stage.”
The ceremony concluded with the Embassy honoring both authors for their creative achievements, presenting them with certificates of recognition, and celebrating their contributions to literature and cultural discourse.
