OTTAWA: Leaders of the Sikh for Justice (SFJ) movement have announced that the Canadian government has officially approved the holding of a Khalistan referendum.
According to Gurpatwant Singh, a key SFJ leader, the referendum is scheduled for November 23 in Billings State, Ottawa.
Singh described the government’s approval as a confirmation of Canada’s commitment to freedom of expression and democratic processes. He emphasized that the referendum is a peaceful exercise in voting, rather than a violent struggle.
Singh urged the Sikh community to use their votes to support efforts to free Punjab from Indian control, asserting that Canada’s position in favor of the Khalistan movement highlights the failures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s domestic and foreign policies on the global stage.
