RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that Balochistan stands as the pride of Pakistan, with its capable, patriotic, and resilient people serving as the province’s true asset.

He commended the significant contribution of civil society in driving the region’s development and strengthening national harmony.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief made these remarks while addressing participants of the 17th National Workshop Balochistan.

He stated that both the federal and provincial governments are implementing public welfare–oriented initiatives aimed at promoting the social and economic progress of the province.

Field Marshal Munir noted that Balochistan’s economy holds immense untapped potential and stressed the importance of ensuring that local communities directly benefit from emerging opportunities. He underlined that empowering youth and recognizing their contributions are essential for achieving sustainable development.

Highlighting regional security concerns, the Army Chief said that India-backed groups such as “Fitna al-Hindustan” and “Fitna al-Khawarij” continue to pursue anti-state and anti-development agendas. He reaffirmed that operations against terrorism will persist until its complete eradication.

Concluding his address, Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to peace and stability, but cautioned that any threat to the nation’s sovereignty will be met with a firm and decisive response.
