LAHORE: A consensus has been reached among stakeholders on the registration of madrasas in Punjab, following which an online registration form has been finalized.
According to a statement issued by the Punjab Home Department, consultations with Wafaq-ul-Madaris and representatives of various schools of thought have been completed.
The provincial government and Ittehad Tanzeemat-e-Madaris have mutually agreed on the framework for the registration process.
Taking all recommendations into consideration, the Home Department has developed an online form through which all madrasas will be required to submit their data. Authorities clarified that there will be no need for madrasa administrators to visit any government office, as the entire process will be conducted digitally.
Through this online system, all educational institutions will be registered with the Punjab Charity Commission. The statement further said that prominent religious scholars from all schools of thought were consulted during the preparation of the form.
The provincial government announced that the registration process will begin soon, aiming to streamline documentation and improve transparency across the sector.
