Consul general Atozai hosts farewell luncheon for Malaysian counterpart

NEW YORK: The Consul General of Pakistan in New York Aamer Ahmed Atozai hosted a farewell luncheon this week in honor of the outgoing Malaysian Consul General Amir Farid Abu Hasan.

Held at the Consulate General of Pakistan, the event brought together senior diplomats from across South and Southeast Asia to recognize Abu Hasan’s service and his efforts to enhance diplomatic cooperation during his tenure in New York.

Among the guests were the Consul General of Bangladesh Muhammad Muzzamel Haque  and the Consul General of Nepal Dadhi Ram Bhandari, underscoring the spirit of regional unity and collaboration that marked Abu Hasan’s diplomatic mission.

In a cordial and collegial setting, Consul General Atozai praised Abu Hasan for his leadership in promoting bilateral and multilateral engagement among regional missions. He highlighted Abu Hasan’s dedication to fostering mutual respect and deepening ties between South and Southeast Asian nations.

The luncheon served as both a tribute and a reaffirmation of the participating countries’ commitment to continued cooperation, diplomacy, and goodwill within the international community.
