Consul General Joins NYPD Muslim Officers Society Dinner

NEW YORK: The Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai, attended the 17th Annual Scholarship Award Dinner organized by the Muslim Officers Society of the New York Police Department (NYPD) on Thursday evening.

The event, which honors the contributions of Muslim officers, drew a large gathering of NYPD officers, their families, community leaders, elected officials, and members of the media.

Speaking at the event, New York City Mayor Eric Adams and NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch praised the dedication of Muslim officers in promoting law and order and fostering harmony in the city’s diverse communities.

Consul General Atozai highlighted the positive impact of the Muslim Officers Society, saying their service strengthens New York’s social fabric and represents a source of pride for the Pakistani-American community.

The annual dinner also recognized scholarship recipients, underscoring the society’s commitment to supporting education and leadership within the community.
