Dar Arrives in Saudi Arabia for OIC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting

JEDDAH: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Saudi Arabia on Sunday to participate in the extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers.

According to the Foreign Office, Dar was received in Jeddah by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq and Consul General Khalid Majid.

The OIC session, being held at the organization’s secretariat in Jeddah, will focus on the worsening situation in Palestine.

Foreign ministers from member states are expected to deliberate on Israel’s ongoing military aggression and its reported plan to assert full control over Gaza.

The meeting will also examine options for a joint response to Israel’s continued violations of Palestinian rights, the Foreign Office said.
