Dead bodies of Chinese engineers sent home

Five Chinese nationals working on Dasu power project were killed in suicide attack at Besham

ISLAMABAD: The dead bodies of five Chinese engineers who were killed in a suicide attack in Besham area of Khyber Pakthunkhwa a few days ago were dispatched to China on Monday.

A special plane carrying the mortal remains of the terror victims departed from Nur Khan airbase in Chaklala Rawalpindi. Officials from different departments were present on the occasion.

Wreaths were placed on the bodies on behalf of the president, prime minister, chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the army chief.

Silence for thirty seconds was also observed in honor of the deceased.

In a statement, the government once again strongly condemned the terrorist incident and expressed the resolve to bring the terrorists and their facilitators to justice.

On the other hand, the government of China said that these terror attacks would not affect the relationship between Pakistan and China.
