PESHAWAR: As many as six persons belonging to different parts of Punjab were found murdered at Mir Ali area of North Waziristan early on Tuesday, police said.
A senior police official said that the dead bodies were recovered from an agricultural field in the Mosaki area of Mir Ali. The deceased were shot dead by unidentified assailants and their dead bodies dumped in the open field, he said.
The official said that the deceased were working as barbers in the area and one of them hailed from DG Khan. It is unclear when these persons had gone to North Waziristan to work as barbers.
Laborers from Punjab have often been attacked and killed in different parts of Balochistan. It is perhaps for the first time that so many workers from Punjab have been killed in one go in any tribal district of Khyber pakhtunkhwa.
