CAIRO: Six dead bodies of hostages abducted by Hamas in October last year have been recovered from Gaza, the Israeli forces said today.
The victims included one American national and five Israelis. They were three women and as many men. Their dead bodies were recovered by Israeli forces from a tunnel in Gaza. Israel forces said the six might have been murdered two or three days back.
After the recovery of the dead body of the American national, US President Joe Biden said he was shocked and angry. He said Hamas would pay the price for abducting and killing the American citizen.
On the other hand, relatives of the Israeli citizens killed by Hamas said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was responsible for it.
An organization working for the release of the hostages said that the six persons whose dead bodies were recovered would have been alive today had the Israeli prime minister agreed to hold negotiations with Hamas and cease fire in Gaza.
On Aug 20, the Israeli forces had also claimed to have recovered six dead bodies of hostages from a cave in Khan Younis area of Gaza
