NEW YORK: Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai, attended as Chief Guest a community event organized by Pakistan Muslim League (N), USA, to celebrate Pakistan’s role as a mediator and facilitator in supporting efforts that contributed to a peace understanding between the United States and Iran.
The event was attended by representatives of various political parties and a large number of Pakistani Americans from the tri-state area. Speakers paid tribute to Pakistan and its leadership for their constructive role in promoting peace, dialogue, and regional stability.
They highly commended the vision and statesmanship of the current leadership of Pakistan, as well as the professionalism, preparedness, and unwavering commitment of the Pakistan Armed Forces in safeguarding national interests and contributing to regional peace and security.
Addressing the gathering, the Consul General underscored Pakistan’s consistent commitment to peace, dialogue, and diplomacy as the preferred means for resolving differences and promoting regional and international stability.
He noted that Pakistan has always supported initiatives aimed at de-escalation, mutual understanding, and constructive engagement among nations. He emphasized that Pakistan’s efforts reflected its dedication to regional and global peace and the broader interests of humanity.
The Consul General also acknowledged the prudent leadership and diplomatic outreach of Pakistan’s current leadership in advancing peace and stability at a critical juncture. He further appreciated the vital role played by the Pakistan Armed Forces in maintaining a strong and credible defense posture that supports the country’s efforts for peace, security, and regional stability.
He remarked that Pakistan’s commitment to peace is reinforced by national unity, responsible leadership, and strong institutions working together in the service of the nation and the international community.
