Diaspora can play key role in boosting Pak-US ties: Congresswoman
NEW YORK: Raja Razzaq, President PML-N Youth Wing USA, and President Pak-American Think Tank (USA), held a meeting with Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke at a community gathering in New York today.
She said Kashmir people are entitled for right of self-determination and self-governance, according to a press release.
She said the US government was working to strengthen US-Pak relations. She added that Pak-American can play an important role in further cementing the relations between the two countries.
She also said that Pakistan was facing many challenges, including the impact of the devastated floods of last year triggered by climate change.
Ms Clarke said the US was working closely with Pakistan to maintain and bring stability to the region.
The congresswoman also said that she intended to visit Pakistan in future.
She also wished the Muslims happiness and peace on the occasion of their religious festival of Eidul Azha.
