BANNU: A drone attack targeted a Frontier Corps (FC) checkpost in Bannu, resulting in the death of one FC officer and injuries to three others.
According to DPO Bannu, Saleem Abbas Kalachi, the attack took place in the Takhti Khel area of Baka Khel. The injured officers have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, Frontier Corps and police have launched a search operation in the area to apprehend those responsible.
In response to intelligence about the presence of terrorists, a curfew has been imposed in Hovid. Security forces are conducting a search and strike operation in the area, with heavy personnel deployed. Residents have been advised to stay indoors after 5 AM and to avoid contact with any suspicious individuals.
DPO Saleem Abbas Kalachi warned that anyone providing shelter or assistance to terrorists will face strict legal action. He further stated that any building used to fire upon security forces will be demolished.
Citizens are urged to cooperate with authorities and report any suspicious activity to ensure safety and peace in the region.
