SHIKARPUR: Eight armed robbers were killed, while three Policemen, including two deputy superintendents of police (DSPs), sustained injuries, the police said here today.
According to police officials, the operation was carried out near the Shikarpur Bypass, targeting a hideout used by the criminals. During the gunfight, DSP Garhi Yaseen Zahoor Somro and DSP City Pars Bakrani were injured and immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities confirmed that the operation against the remaining criminals is still ongoing, with a large contingent of police personnel and armored vehicles deployed at the scene to ensure public safety and prevent further incidents.
