Eight Terrorists Killed in Joint Operation in Bannu: ISPR

BANNU: Security forces and law-enforcement agencies conducted a joint intelligence-based operation in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing eight India-backed terrorists.

In its statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the operation was launched following credible intelligence about the presence of militants belonging to the Khawarij group in the region.

During the raid, the forces successfully targeted the militants’ hideout, recovering weapons and ammunition.

The ISPR confirmed that the slain terrorists had been involved in multiple attacks against security forces, as well as target killings of law-enforcement personnel and innocent civilians.

The statement added that the successful operation reflects the strong coordination between security forces and law-enforcement agencies. Increased collaboration has led to a notable rise in intelligence-based operations across the region.

Comprehensive security measures have been taken to restrict militant movement, and clearance operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats. The military reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating terrorism under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision.
