ISLAMABAD:The federal government has appointed Captain (retd) Liaquat Ali as the new Inspector General (IG) of Police in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
His appointment was made under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973. Captain (retd) Liaquat Ali, who has been serving in the Punjab government in Police Service Grade 20, will now assume the role of IG Police for the Azad Kashmir government.
This position was previously held by Rana Abdul Jabbar, who is currently engaged in the National Management Course.
The Establishment Division has formally issued the notification for the appointment and transfer of the IG Police for the Azad Kashmir government.
