First Phase of Hajj Pilgrims’ Process Begins in Sindh

KARACHI: The first phase of preparations for Hajj pilgrims has commenced in Sindh with around 30,000 pilgrims from across the province expected to perform Hajj this year.

According to Director Hajj Karachi, Imtiaz Shah, training sessions for pilgrims have begun at the Hajj Directorate Karachi. During these sessions, pilgrims are being informed about various administrative, religious, and travel-related matters. He added that the second phase of Hajj training will start after the month of Ramadan.

Imtiaz Shah said that special instructions have been issued by the Prime Minister to ensure maximum facilities for pilgrims, while the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs has declared Hajj training mandatory.

He further stated that under the “Road to Makkah” project, Saudi immigration procedures will be completed at Karachi airport before departure, allowing pilgrims to avoid immigration formalities upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, the vaccination process for pilgrims will be completed prior to their departure.
