SHEIKHUPURA: Five persons arrested by the police here in a gang rape case have lost their lives in police custody, it emerged on Thursday.
The police had arrested the five suspects on the charge of raping two sisters.
The police today claimed that the five arrested suspects were being taken to a place for recovery purpose when they were fired upon by their own accomplices.
All the five suspects in police custody died from the firing of their own accomplices at Sargodha bypass road, but the police remained unhurt.
The suspects were accused of raping two sisters about a month ago. The dead bodies of the suspects have been shifted to hospital.
