CHAKWAL: A passenger bus traveling from Rawalpindi to Multan fell into a 100-foot deep gorge near Dhok Pathan in the Talagang area due to dense fog, resulting in the deaths of five people and leaving 16 others seriously injured.
According to Rescue 1122, the bus was traveling via the GT Road because the motorway and CPEC routes were closed due to heavy fog. The accident occurred in a hilly area near Dhok Pathan.
Rescue teams and district authorities responded immediately, transporting the injured and deceased to Government City Hospital for medical care.
The accident has been attributed to poor visibility caused by dense fog and the challenging hilly terrain. Authorities have urged travelers to exercise caution and follow safety measures while traveling in foggy conditions.
