HAFIZABAD: At least five people were killed and four others injured when a speeding truck collided with a passenger van near Qila Dewan Singh on Nokhar Road in Hafizabad on Saturday.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, the deceased have been identified as Nasreen (55), Rukhsana (45), Azaan (13), Amjad Pervaiz (60), and Jibran (25). The injured were named as Anjum, Amna, Majidan Bibi, and Shabnam.
Rescue teams reached the scene soon after the accident, shifting the bodies and the injured to a nearby hospital.
Police officials said they have collected evidence from the site and initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
