ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly rejected recent statements by the Indian Foreign Minister, calling the allegations “baseless.”
A spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tahir Andrabi said India is attempting to divert attention from its own failures by accusing Pakistan of supporting terrorism in the region.
The spokesperson alleged that India has a poor record regarding terrorism and regional instability and highlighted the Kulbhushan Jadhav case as a clear example of state-sponsored terrorism against Pakistan.
He further accused India of cross-border killings, proxy attacks, and covert support to terrorist networks, linking these actions to extremist Hindutva ideology.
Addressing the Kashmir issue, Andrabi reiterated that India continues its illegal and violent occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, while Pakistan remains committed to providing political, moral, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people to help them achieve the right to self-determination, in line with relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
The spokesperson also emphasized the importance of the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), warning that any unilateral violation by India could destabilize the region and harm India’s international credibility. Pakistan affirmed it will take all necessary measures to protect its legitimate rights.
