ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has finalized its Hajj 2026 preparations, with improved facilities and transport plans for pilgrims.
Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf confirmed that the first batch of pilgrims will depart on April 18.
The minister made the announcement upon his arrival in Riyadh, where he was received by officials of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) Saudi Arabia chapter.
He stated that arrangements for this year’s Hajj have been further improved in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
According to the minister, special attention has been given to providing better accommodation, food, and transportation facilities for Pakistani pilgrims.
In a significant development, more than 25,000 Pakistani pilgrims will, for the first time, benefit from the Haramain High-Speed Railway, enabling fast and convenient travel between Makkah and Madinah.
The government aims to ensure a more comfortable and well-organized Hajj experience for all pilgrims this year.
