IAEA confirms Israeli attack on Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility

VIANNA: The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that Israel targeted Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility.

According to the IAEA, there has been no increase in radiation levels at the site, and no damage has been reported to the nuclear installations.

The agency stated it is closely monitoring the situation and is in contact with Iranian officials. Iran has informed the IAEA that other major nuclear sites, including the Bushehr power plant, as well as facilities in Fordow and Isfahan, were not targeted.

Iranian state media also reported that there has been no nuclear contamination as a result of the attack.

Separately, Israeli airstrikes reportedly targeted various military and nuclear-related locations across Iran. According to Iranian sources, the attacks resulted in the deaths of several top military and scientific figures, including Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of the IRGC, and General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
