NEW YORK: An annual interfaith event was organized by the American Cultural Alliance (ACA) in New Jersey to promote the importance of interfaith harmony and cultural understanding.
Clergy members, elected officials, community leaders, and individuals from diverse faiths attended the event.
On behalf of Pakistan’s Consul General in New York Aamer Ahmed Atozai, Deputy Consul General Umar Sheikh attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sheikh underscored the shared values of peace, compassion, and coexistence inherent in all religions. He praised the American Cultural Alliance for its efforts in fostering unity and respect among diverse communities.
He said Pakistan was commitment to ensuring harmony and equality for people of all faiths. Unity in diversity and building bridges are crucial to create a more inclusive and peaceful society.
“The Consulate General of Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Pakistani-American community in actively promoting interfaith harmony, cultural understanding, and collaborative initiatives that strengthen the bonds between diverse communities.”
