ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan has been diagnosed with retinal vein occlusion in his right eye, according to a statement by the Executive Director of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Dr. Rana Imran.
Dr. Rana Imran said that following medical examinations by PIMS doctors, Imran Khan complained of reduced vision in his right eye.
A comprehensive ophthalmic assessment, including an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) test, was conducted by an eye specialist at Adiala Jail.
Imran Khan was shifted to PIMS Hospital late last week for treatment, where he was administered an anti-VEGF injection. The procedure lasted approximately 20 minutes and was completed successfully, with his condition remaining stable throughout.
According to the hospital administration, Imran Khan has since been discharged with necessary medical instructions and a follow-up treatment plan.
