ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Friday asked India to stop its nefarious agenda of turning the people of occupied Kashmir into a minority in their own land by settling outsiders in the disputed territory and occupying properties of the locals.
At her weekly media briefing in Islamabad, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said so far India has seized hundreds of properties across the occupied territory to punish the Kashmiris.
India has continued its illegal campaign of intimidating the people of occupied Kashmir under the garb of security operations during which political activists are picked and taken away never to return.
Ms Baloch said the people of Jammu and Kashmir should be able to freely exercise their right to self-determination as enshrined in the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
She said that earlier this week the properties including lands and a shop of two more Kashmiris were sealed in Shopian district.
About recent talks with Afghanistan, the spokesperson said Pakistan had shared the findings into the Bisham attack with Afghan authorities and sought their assistance in apprehending the perpetrators. She said the Afghan side had committed to prevent the use of their soil for any terrorist activity.
