India’s win takes Champions Trophy final out of Pakistan

DUBAI: In the first semi-final of the Champions Trophy 2025, India defeated Australia by four wickets to qualify for the final. Now the final of the championship will be played in Dubai as India has refused to play in Pakistan.

The second semi-final of the championship hosted by Pakistan will be played between South Africa and New Zealand in Lahore while the final will be in Dubai on March 9.

In today’s match, India’s Mohammed Shami took three wickets and Jadeja and Varun Chakravarthy two wickets each. India achieved the target of 265 runs in the 49th over at the loss of six wickets and qualified for the final.
Virat Kohli played a crucial innings of 84 runs for India and was named Man of the Match. Shreyas Iyer scored 45 runs. Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma scored 28 each, while Axar Patel scored 27 and Shubman Gill scored eight runs. Adam Zampa and Nathan Ellis took two wickets each.

India has reached the final of the Champions Trophy for the fifth time. It won Champions Trophy in 2002 and 2013, but lost the final in 2000 and 2017. Pakistan won the championship in 2017 by defeating India.
