ISLAMABAD: Ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States in Islamabad may extend into Sunday, according to US media reports, indicating continued engagement between the two sides.
According to CNN, citing Pakistani sources, the talks—initially expected to conclude within a day—could continue as both sides remain engaged in discussions. Pakistan is playing the role of a mediator in the dialogue process aimed at easing long-standing tensions.
Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said the decades-long tensions between the two countries cannot be resolved in just a few hours of talks. He noted that both sides are in constant consultation with their respective leaderships and are carefully reviewing each step before finalizing any agreement.
He added that while April 10 was initially set for the talks, the duration may be extended if the engagement remains positive, signaling cautious optimism about progress in the negotiations.
