ISLAMABAD: Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghaddam has strongly condemned the circulation of Israeli propaganda regarding Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Pakistani media.

In a statement released on X (formerly Twitter), Ambassador Moghaddam labeled the claims as false, fabricated and baseless, while highlighting the persistence of a “despicable enemy” propaganda network aimed at spreading misleading and false information about Iran’s leadership.

Moghaddam said this misinformation campaign is a desperate attempt to cover up the enemy’s failure on the battlefield, particularly during the recent 12-day war where Iranian forces and commanders emerged victorious against foreign adversaries. He described the claims as absurd and dismissed them categorically, stressing that such efforts reflect the frustration and failure of Iran’s enemies.

The Iranian ambassador praised the bravery, determination and courage demonstrated by Iran’s soldiers and commanders, who fought valiantly on their homeland’s sacred soil. He noted that the Iranian martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the nation, have been laid to rest in their homeland, becoming symbols of pride and honor for the Iranian people.

Moghaddam said Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei continues to lead the nation with wisdom, courage and resolve. As the Supreme commander of Iran’s armed forces, Khamenei stands alongside the people and security forces in defense of the nation’s sovereignty and security.

The ambassador called on Pakistani media outlets and journalists to avoid publishing unverified news and to rely solely on credible and verified sources. He warned against the growing threat of digital terrorism, misinformation and ethical misconduct, stressing that media professionals must exercise extraordinary caution in verifying the information they disseminate.
