ISLAMABAD: The foreign minister of Iran has arrived in Islamabad on a two-day official visit, said officials in the Foreign Office.
They said that the Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi during his visit will meet Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
Officials said that the visit of the Irani foreign minister was of significance in the evolving international situation especially in the context of the Tehran’s tension with the West following the Gaza war.
The foreign minister of Iran will hold talks on the Middle East situation and ties between Pakistan and Iran.
This visit provides an important opportunity to advance cooperation and dialogue between Pakistan and Iran on a wide range of areas including trade, economic, energy and security, the Foreign Office stated.
