ISLAMABAD: Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), has asserted that Pakistan did not lose a single aircraft during the recent military engagement with India, known as Operation Haq.

In an exclusive interview with Bloomberg, Lt. Gen. Chaudhry highlighted Pakistan’s military development strategy, which emphasizes integrating effective platforms with indigenous technology.

“Our approach has always focused on operationally effective systems and homegrown technology. We are open to acquiring capabilities—whether domestic, Eastern, or Western—but Pakistan does not engage in an arms race with India,” he said.

The ISPR chief emphasized that Pakistan has never manipulated or concealed data, reaffirming that Indian forces were unable to down any Pakistani aircraft during the operation.

Lt. Gen. Chaudhry also confirmed the operational effectiveness of Pakistani weapons systems, including Chinese-made platforms used by the armed forces.

Bloomberg reported that former U.S. President Donald Trump had confirmed the destruction of seven Indian aircraft a week earlier. Pakistani J-10C fighter jets, supplied by China, reportedly shot down multiple Indian Air Force planes, including French-made Rafale jets.

In August, Pakistan also inducted the Z-10ME attack helicopter into its arsenal. Alongside Chinese systems, Pakistan continues to operate U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets.

This engagement marked the first operational deployment of advanced Chinese weaponry by Pakistan in a confrontation with India. J-10C fighter jets reportedly played a key role in neutralizing several Indian aircraft, underscoring the effectiveness of the newly integrated systems.
