TEL AVIV: Israel’s parliament has passed a resolution to take control of the West Bank, a region that is claimed by the Palestinians. This decision has led to strong condemnation from many countries around the world, especially from Muslim nations.

Countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia, Bahrain, Nigeria, and Palestine have strongly opposed this move. Organizations like the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also condemned the decision.

These countries say that Israel’s action goes against international law and United Nations resolutions. They believe it will make peace in the region even harder to achieve.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry said: “This is a dangerous and provocative step that damages the efforts to bring peace through a two-state solution.”

The condemnation is part of a wider reaction from the global community, which is already concerned about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the failure of ceasefire talks.
