CAIRO: At least 78 more Palestinians were killed in ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza.

Information received from various hospitals across the region indicates that among the victims were 14 displaced individuals who had gathered to receive humanitarian aid.

Medical sources in Gaza report that the deaths occurred after Israeli forces opened fire on aid seekers in central Gaza early Wednesday morning.

Gaza health officials state that over 500 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks on aid distribution centers since May alone, highlighting a disturbing trend of targeting civilians in humanitarian zones.

Meanwhile, in Khan Younis, Hamas claimed responsibility for a significant counterattack, stating they destroyed an Israeli armored vehicle using explosives, resulting in the deaths of 7 Israeli soldiers.

On the international front, former U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that there has been significant progress toward ending the war, which has now dragged on for nearly two years. Trump expressed hope that a resolution between Israel and Hamas could be reached in the near future.
