GAZA: In a harrowing escalation of violence, Israeli forces bombed a medical clinic in the Jabalia refugee camp, killing and severely mutilating patients inside, according to international news agencies.
The strike comes amid intensified Israeli military operations across the Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of at least 143 Palestinians in the past 24 hours alone.
Among the dead were 13 children, local health authorities confirmed. The targeted clinic was reportedly full of injured and sick civilians when the missile struck, leaving a scene of utter devastation.
The bombardment follows the death of an Israeli settler, after which an extremist Israeli minister called for an entire town in the West Bank to be demolished. This inflammatory statement coincided with a fresh wave of Israeli attacks on Gaza that continued throughout the night.
Meanwhile, tensions in the region continue to mount as Yemen’s Houthi rebels have reportedly launched additional missile attacks toward Israel. The Houthis claimed to have successfully intercepted and downed one Israeli missile.
The situation remains highly volatile, with humanitarian organizations urging an immediate ceasefire and access to aid for the besieged population of Gaza.
