KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has announced a nationwide protest against the recent U.S. military strikes on Iran. Party chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman declared that protests will be held across the country on Monday in response to what he described as an act of aggression by Washington.
Addressing a press conference, Hafiz Naeem stated that if the United States does not halt its military operations immediately, the protest movement will be intensified and further organized across Pakistan.
The announcement comes in the wake of U.S. airstrikes targeting key Iranian nuclear facilities. Reports indicate that bunker buster bombs and missiles were used in attacks on Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan – three major nuclear sites in Iran. The strikes mark a significant escalation in regional tensions, with the U.S. now openly entering the conflict many believe was instigated by Israel.
Jamaat-e-Islami condemned the attacks and urged the international community to take notice of what it called a “dangerous provocation that could destabilize the entire region.”
