MALAKAND: A tragic incident in Malakand’s Batkhela tehsil left two children of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leader Mufti Kifayatullah dead and the leader himself and his wife injured.
According to Levies officials, the firing took place at Mufti Kifayatullah’s residence. Sources indicate that his son carried out the shooting before fleeing the scene.
The injured, Mufti Kifayatullah and his wife, have been admitted to a local hospital for treatment. The motives behind the incident are currently under investigation.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack, while local residents express shock at the tragic family incident.
