Kazakhstan’s Deputy PM Arrives On Two-Day Official Visit

Visit sets stage for upcoming visit of President of Kazakhstan to Pakistan scheduled for November 2025.

ISLAMABAD: Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu arrived in Islamabad on Monday on a two-day official visit aimed at boosting bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.

Additional Secretary (West Asia) at Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Syed Ali Asad Gillani along with other senior officials welcomed Mr. Nurtleu and his 13-member delegation at the airport.

Mr. Nurtleu’s visit sets the stage for the upcoming visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, scheduled for November 2025.

During his stay, Mr. Nurtleu will hold one-on-one talks with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar. The two leaders will then lead their respective sides in delegation-level talks focused on expanding cooperation in key sectors.

Officials will also convene Joint Working Group meetings on Agriculture and Information Technology on the sidelines of the visit.

Mr. Nurtleu is expected to call on the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan. These high-level meetings will allow both sides to finalize preparations for the Kazakh President’s visit and discuss ways to strengthen collaboration in trade, investment, agriculture, education, culture, tourism, logistics, and regional connectivity.

Both countries aim to use this visit to deepen their longstanding ties and enhance cooperation across multiple areas for the benefit of their people.
