MUZAFFARABAD: The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has appointed Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry as a permanent judge of the Supreme Court, following the advice of the chairman of the Kashmir Council.
The decision was made in consultation with the Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan in accordance with the provisions of the Interim Constitution of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Chaudhry, who has previously served as the custodian of Evacuee Property in the Azad government, brings substantial experience to his new role in the judiciary. His appointment is seen as a significant development in strengthening the legal and judicial framework of the region.
