TEHRAN: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a stark warning to U.S. President Donald Trump, comparing his potential fate to that of historical rulers Pharaoh, Nimrod, and Reza Shah.

In a statement shared on social media, Khamenei criticized what he called “arrogance in global decision-making” and highlighted the consequences faced by the most powerful leaders in history.

Khamenei said that a person “drenched in arrogance” is making decisions for the entire world and must consider what happened to the most powerful rulers at the peak of their power.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian accused the U.S. and Israel of orchestrating unrest in Iran. In an interview with Iranian media, he stated that foreign actors were instructing people to carry out disruptive acts, while Iran would prevent any outsider from sowing discord within the nation.

In response, Donald Trump said that Iran wants to negotiate and that meetings are being arranged, while the U.S. is considering “very powerful options” regarding Iran.
