PESHAWAR: The Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for girls’ colleges across the province.
According to the notification, any event or function organized at colleges will now require prior approval from the Director of Higher Education.
Under the new SOPs, the colleges are prohibited from hosting any performances involving music, dance, modeling, or any similar activities.
Additionally, the use of mobile phones during college hours or events will also be restricted. The guidelines mandate that all female students must wear uniforms while attending events, and no videos or photos of any event will be allowed to be shared on social media.
The Higher Education Department explained that the primary purpose of these SOPs is to maintain discipline in the educational environment and regulate extracurricular activities.
