LHC sought reply from Health Secretary and DC Lahore on te request to ban meetings

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought reply from Health Secretary and DC Lahore on the request to ban meetings due to ongoing Corona situation.

The court heard a petition seeking a ban on political rallies and other security measures to prevent Corona, however, the court yesterday sought reply from the Secretary Health and Deputy Commissioner Lahore as to what steps were taken to control the second wave of Corona.

The petitioner has taken a stand in the petition that due to the severe spread of Corona, the number of hospital beds has started decreasing. It is time to ban rallies and other gatherings to prevent this global epidemic.

Furthermore, the petitioner requested that the pharmacies in the hospitals should be kept open 24 hours a day, the presence of the senior professor should be ensured in the corona ward at night to inform the family about the condition of the patient and also to facilitate video calls.

It is to be noted that PDM has announced a rally on December 13 at Minar Pakistan in Lahore in which Maryam Nawaz will lead a rally in Lahore today.
