LAHORE: The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in collaboration with the Public-Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) and the National Highway Authority (NHA), has officially launched the M-12 Motorway project.
This landmark infrastructure initiative is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing regional connectivity, improving trade routes, and supporting industrial growth.
The M-12 Motorway will directly link the endpoint of the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway at Sambaryal to Kharian, providing a fast, safe, and efficient travel corridor.
Spanning six lanes, the motorway is designed to significantly reduce travel time between key commercial and industrial hubs, while offering a smooth and convenient route for commuters and freight transport.
In addition to facilitating regional trade, the motorway will serve as a strategic part of Pakistan’s national north-south motorway network, strengthening the overall transportation framework and supporting the country’s economic growth.
By improving connectivity, the M-12 is also expected to encourage new business opportunities, enhance logistics efficiency, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the surrounding areas.
The SIFC emphasized that its facilitation of such large-scale infrastructure projects demonstrates Pakistan’s commitment to modernizing its transport network, fostering regional integration, and promoting sustainable development.
The project reflects a forward-looking vision aimed at providing efficient infrastructure solutions while boosting economic resilience and trade competitiveness across the country.
