WASHINGTON: Widespread protests erupted across the United States against President Donald Trump’s policies and the ongoing war with Iran, with media reports suggesting that more than seven million people participated in demonstrations nationwide.

Organized under the banner of “No Kings,” the protests were held at over 3,000 locations across all 50 states, with demonstrators chanting slogans against the war and government policies while calling for an immediate end to the conflict.

Speaking at a major rally in Minnesota, US Senator Bernie Sanders strongly criticized the government, alleging that the American public was being misled about the Iran war. He said the conflict should be stopped immediately and accused President Trump of breaking his election promise not to waste taxpayers’ money on foreign wars.

Sanders further termed the war unconstitutional, arguing that it was launched without approval from Congress. He also pointed to reports of American military casualties and injuries, as well as the humanitarian impact of the conflict, including the deaths of thousands of Iranian civilians and damage to educational institutions.

The senator also criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, claiming that the United States and Israel had jointly fueled the conflict, which has contributed to a worsening humanitarian situation in Lebanon, the West Bank, and other regions.

During the protests, demonstrators chanted slogans such as “End the War” and “No Kings,” while some rallies also saw strong reactions against the Israeli government. According to reports, similar protests were also held in Tel Aviv, where participants voiced opposition to the war.

Organizers have announced that more protests are expected across the United States on Sunday, with claims that the demonstrations could become one of the largest protest movements in American history.
