Minister In Iran To Enhance Bilateral Cooperation in Agri Sector

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain has arrived in Tehran on a four-day official visit of Iran.

According to a government statement issued in Islamabad, the purpose of the visit is to enhance bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector between Pakistan and Iran.

During the visit, Rana Tanveer will meet with Iran’s Minister of Agriculture to discuss new initiatives for agricultural collaboration.

The minister emphasized that technical and research cooperation with Iran will be increased to ensure food security. Discussions will also focus on seed improvement and crop yield enhancement.

Rana Tanveer stated that progress is expected in modern agricultural technology and investment exchange, while agricultural research and farmer welfare remain top priorities.

He also highlighted that strengthening trade relations with Iran will open new avenues for agricultural exports.
