RAHIM YAR KHAN: A notorious dacoit carrying a head bounty of Rs10 million has surrendered to authorities in the riverine (Katcha) area of Rahim Yar Khan.
According to reports, the wanted criminal, Tanveer Andhar, laid down his weapons along with his accomplice, Zafri Jabheel. Tanveer Andhar had been declared an absconder and was highly wanted by both Sindh and Punjab police.
Authorities had fixed a reward of Rs10 million for information leading to his arrest. He was considered a symbol of fear in the Katcha region, where several criminal gangs have been operating for years.
The surrender of the notorious suspects has surprised local residents, who had long been affected by criminal activities in the area.
